May 1, 2006 - On behalf of landlord B & M Net Lease Funding, Ltd., the Dominion Advisory Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that Dallas-based Rio Mambo Tex Mex y Mas (aka “Rio Mambo”) has signed a long term lease for the former Buck’s Landing Restaurant building located on Loop 1604 West at/near Stone Oak Parkway (Sonterra Place).
This lease represents Rio Mambo’s first entry into the San Antonio marketplace. Featuring Tex Mex cuisine with a white tablecloth dining experience, full bar, happy hour, and live weekend music, Rio Mambo is a ‘big hit’ wherever it has chosen to go. Cal Ivey, the firm’s vice president of the Build-To-Suit Program, was instrumental in attracting Rio Mambo to San Antonio. When asked about Rio Mambo’s entry into this market, Cal stated, “The two principals of Rio Mambo are both from San Antonio and have always wanted to bring their concept back home for the enjoyment of their friends here. We are extremely honored to play a catalyst role in this endeavor.” Cal quickly adds, “There is not one other restaurant in all of San Antonio like Rio Mambo. They will become a major economic generator for our nine-acre Sonterra Place development, and the demographics at Stone Oak are just perfect for Rio Mambo’s customer base.”
Rio Mambo joins several other new Sonterra Place development tenants that are soon-to-be-named.
Rio Mambo Tex Mex y Mas is targeting a July opening time frame.
