Justin Spillmann is Associate General Counsel for Dominion Advisory Group, Inc. (DAG). He works directly with General Counsel Andrew Baumgardner and all DAG principals and staff to assist in ensuring legal compliance and thoroughness of documentation regarding the firm’s internal and external transactions.
Prior to employment with Dominion Advisory Group, Inc., Justin was an attorney with Austin law firm Charles E. Brown, P.C. While there, he gained extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of contracts and loan documents for residential, investment and commercial properties. He also handled commercial leases and sale/purchase transactions for all types of properties, homeowner association issues, development issues, and general business matters.
In December 2002, Justin earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law with a concentration in real estate law. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in May of 2003 and has since continued pursuit of his interests in real estate law, land use and development. Justin is also a licensed real estate broker and a member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Before attending law school, Justin earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics, summa cum laude, from Texas A&M University in 2000, graduating with an overall GPA of 4.0. While pursuing this degree, he served as a Congressional Intern for U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady in Washington, D.C., an opportunity awarded through academic achievement and sponsorship. In addition to many undergraduate academic awards and achievements, including the Gathright Scholar and Outstanding Senior awards, Justin was active in and took a leadership role in many organizations while at A&M.
While in Austin, Justin was an active member of the Capital City A&M Club. A former Terry Foundation Scholar, he has served as an alumni panelist for the Foundation, participating in the selection of Texas high school graduates for the receipt of full college scholarships to selected Texas universities.
Being originally from Buda, Texas, Justin has experienced first-hand the tremendous growth that can occur in suburban areas, and will utilize this experience to benefit DAG in the future.
