Jim Ploetz is Associate Vice President of Leasing for the DAG Healthcare Facilities Division. He works directly with DAG Healthcare lead Lee Jackson and coordinates efforts with the entire DAG Healthcare team, focusing exclusively on healthcare facility leasing and on matching clients with properties that best suit their financial and operational goals and objectives.
With a twenty-year combined track record in real estate and banking, Jim’s real estate experience includes a specialization in medical office leasing and sales backed by demonstrated success in the acquisition, financing, sales and leasing of office and retail properties. A combination of extensive professional experience, formal education and commitment to the success of DAG Healthcare uniquely qualifies him to develop and implement strategies that will achieve the best result in marketing and leasing medical office properties.
Throughout his career, Jim held leadership positions with several of the largest commercial real estate/financial firms in the country: Huffman Developments, CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc., NAI REOC Partners and Bank One. His former clients include Excel Realty Investors, American Mutual Life Company, JPI Development, GE Capital and several local investment groups. He has also participated as tenant representative for several San Antonio law firms, physicians and rehabilitation specialists, as well as national companies such as Sprint PCS, Mobilcomm Communications, Washington Mutual and Bank One.
Prior to entering the brokerage business, Jim established himself as a successful manager in banking and real estate, most recently as a Vice President, Asset Manager for SCI, a Bank One Company. While with Bank One, he was responsible for the management and liquidation of a commercial real estate and non-performing loan portfolio worth over $100 million. In addition, he personally negotiated the sale of over $40 million worth of commercial real estate. These properties included apartments, retail centers, office buildings, industrial warehouses and raw land. Over the past three years, and as Director of Sales and Marketing for Huffman Developments, Jim personally sold over 150,000 square feet of medical office building condominiums totaling over $25 million.
Jim holds a Masters Degree in Urban Planning and Urban Studies from Trinity University in San Antonio, and in 1979 completed a Bachelor of Science Degree, also from Trinity University. |
