Brent Smith is Vice President of Brokerage and Acquisitions for Dominion Advisory Group, Inc. (DAG). He works directly with founder and president Larry Baumgardner, CCIM, the DAG brokerage team and the DAG healthcare facilities division.
For Brent, brokerage means going beyond simply sourcing deals. He utilizes his expertise in property underwriting, financing, marketing and transaction management to help clients maximize profits throughout the ownership cycle of their real estate assets. With an extensive skill set in property valuation, contract negotiations and broker training, Brent’s focus includes third party investment brokerage, sourcing acquisitions, and management/oversight of brokerage operations.
Brent came to Dominion Advisory Group, Inc. after five years with Marcus & Millichap (M&M), the nation’s largest firm (by transaction volume) focused exclusively on the sale of investment real estate. While at M&M, he opened the firm’s San Antonio office, served as the sales manager of the Houston office, and worked as a senior associate, selling office, industrial and retail properties in San Antonio, Austin and Houston. He also implemented a number of training programs that covered sales skills, negotiations and underwriting, and he served as a sales trainer at M&M’s national sales training. His performance at the firm earned him recognition as Senior Associate, National Achievement Award winner and Sales Achievement Award winner.
Prior to Marcus & Millichap, Brent co-founded a software company in Austin and worked in various management and marketing capacities for Dell Computer. At Dell, he oversaw worldwide research and marketing development for several desktop computer products.
Brent received his BBA and MBA at the University of Texas at Austin on a National Merit Scholarship.
