Andrew L. Baumgardner joined Dominion Advisory Group, Inc. after spending five years practicing corporate and real estate law at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP and, more recently, specializing in real estate law at Drenner & Golden, Stuart & Wolff, LLP. While in private law practice, Andrew represented a diverse clientele of major corporations and privately held development and investment groups involved in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, development and leasing of retail, office, industrial, mixed-use, and land development projects.
Andrew graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2001 with a J.D. with honors, and while attending there, earned the Dean’s Achievement Award in Real Estate Development and the Dean’s Achievement Award in Mexican Business Law. Andrew received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University where he graduated summa cum laude with a B.B.A. in Mathematics and Corporate Finance. While at StMU, Andrew had many honors and accomplishments, including graduating as a member of the Honors Program and receiving the Business School’s Outstanding Student Award in Corporate Finance. Andrew obtained almost all of his elementary and secondary education at San Antonio Christian Schools, where he graduated Salutatorian of his ’94 high school class.
While in private practice, and from 2004 through 2006, Andrew was named a Rising Star in Real Estate Law by the Texas Monthly magazine, and was also named one of San Antonio’s best lawyers by the Scene in SA Magazine in 2005. Andrew is a 2005 graduate of the charter class of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio’s Leadership Development Program and is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas.
